Share

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Los Robles National Bank branch in Thousand Oaks on Friday morning. Authorities believe he may be the same person who robbed a Bank of America branch Jan. 13, according to an FBI spokesman.

The robber entered Los Robles National Bank at 33 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd. at about 10:40 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding bills in denominations of $50 and $100. The note claimed the man had a gun, but he did not brandish one, according to a Sheriff’s Department report.

The robber put an undisclosed amount of money into a brown billfold and escaped on foot, heading north on Conejo Boulevard, officials said. He was last seen in the area of the Janss Marketplace parking lot.

The robber is described as a white male, about 40 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds with a medium build. He has dark blond hair and was wearing a dark blue baseball cap with red lettering, dark blue jeans, and a white and gray sweatshirt with blue sleeves.

According to the FBI, the robber is believed to be the same man who robbed a Bank of America branch at 2345 Borchard Road in Newbury Park two weeks ago.

This is the third bank robbery in Ventura County this year. Anyone with information may call Crime Stoppers in the Thousand Oaks-Moorpark area at 494-TALK or in Camarillo, Oxnard or Port Hueneme at 987-TALK.
