Marcus Camby, assured that his heart and brain are fine, plans to return against St. Bonaventure today despite his slight concern that he could pass out again.

The star of top-ranked Massachusetts said Friday he expects to play in short segments 13 days after collapsing before his team’s first game against the Bonnies.

“I’d like to get a couple of minutes here and there, go in a couple of spurts,” said Camby, who was winded Thursday at his first full practice since his collapse.

The 6-foot-11 center was averaging 30.1 minutes, 20.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 blocks before he blacked out after warming up to play St. Bonaventure in Olean, N.Y., on Jan. 14.

Five days of extensive tests found no abnormalities, doctors said, and they cleared him to play.
