The Orange County Sports Hall of Fame announced Monday it will enshrine five new members next month.

Basketball coach Don Johnson, kicker Mike Lansford, football coach Dick Tucker, pitcher Clyde Wright and basketball player Mark Wulfemeyer are the hall’s Class of 1995.

The ceremonies--traditionally held in the fall but delayed because of financial retrenching of the former backer, the Orange County Sports Assn.--will be March 28 at the Hall of Fame at Gate 6 of Anaheim Stadium at 6 p.m., with a dinner to follow at 7:30.

Johnson coached basketball for 27 years at Cypress College, becoming the winningest coach in state community college history. He had a 588-259 record, winning two state championships and reaching the state semifinals four other times.

Lansford finished his nine-year NFL career as the Rams’ leading scorer.

Tucker coached football at Brea Olinda High for 11 seasons, then won two national titles at Orange Coast College.

Wright pitched in the majors from 1966-75, finishing 100-111. He won 22 games for the Angels in 1970 and pitched a no-hitter against the Oakland Athletics that season.

Playing before the three-point basket was adopted, Wulfemeyer, a long-range shooter, averaged 36.5 points for Troy High in 1973-74 and 27.5 for his career. Also a pitcher, he signed a minor league contract with the Angels out of high school.
