No One Shaken by 3.0 Quake Off San Clemente
PASADENA —
A magnitude-3.0 earthquake shook the ocean floor south of San Clemente on Thursday, but no one seemed to notice.
Caltech seismologist Jim Mori said the 1:35 p.m. temblor, centered 31 miles southwest of San Clemente, was an aftershock of the magnitude-5.3 quake in Oceanside in 1986.
A spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department in San Clemente said they received no calls about the minor aftershock.
