Share

You’ll have to do a lot of channel surfing Sunday night to catch all the new TV movies in the offing.

* TNT premieres “For Better or Worse,” a comedy starring and directed by “Seinfeld’s” Jason Alexander, which had a brief, limited theatrical release last year, at 5 and 7 p.m.

* John Schneider and teen idol Devon Sawa survive a tornado disaster in the Family Channel’s “Night of the Twister,” at 7 p.m.

* Kim Delaney of “NYPD Blue” is a disabled writer targeted by a serial killer in the Lifetime cable thriller “Closer and Closer,” at 8 p.m.

* On CBS, James Garner returns as private eye Jim Rockford in “The Rockford Files: Godfather Knows Best,” at 9 p.m. on Channel 2. In this outing, the shamus tries to clear his godson (Damian Chapa) of murder charges.

* Dale Midkiff and Joe Pantoliano star in NBC’s “87th Precinct: Ice,” a thriller based on Ed McBain’s novel about homicide detectives trying to find a link among three victims, at 9 p.m. on Channel 4.

And, if comedy-variety is more your forte, “Saturday Night Live” features host Tom Arnold, special guest Adam Sandler and, in his first “SNL” appearance, rapper Tupac Shakur, at 11:30 tonight (4).

Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary will be a hot topic on many of the public service programs.
