The authors visit scientists, museums and excavation sites in Asia, Europe and the Americas, discussing discoveries and theories. Commendably, they avoid giving pat answers to the unresolved questions of warm-blooded versus cold-blooded and the cause(s) of the extinction of the dinosaurs. Psihoyos’s dramatic, National Geographic-style color pictures give the book a potent appeal.
