Actress Halle Berry has announced that she and Atlanta Braves outfielder David Justice are divorcing after three years of marriage. Justice blamed the couple’s split on the pressures of having a “bi-coastal” relationship. . . . TV star Drew Carey disclosed on Thursday night’s “Late Late Show With Tom Snyder” that he twice tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills, once while an 18-year-old student at Kent State University and then five years later while working as a waiter in Las Vegas. . . . Clint Eastwood will direct the film version of John Berendt’s 1995 Pulitzer Prize finalist, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil,” which tells the true story of a landmark murder case, for Warner Bros. Arnold Stiefel, Randy Phillips and Silver Pictures will produce; production is expected to start in early 1997 in Savannah, Ga.
