O.C. Ranks High in Computer Use

Orange County residents are more likely to have computers, and far more likely to use online services for business purposes, than most state residents, according to a survey recently conducted by Nelson Communications Group in Irvine.
The survey of 800 adults statewide found that San Francisco has the highest concentration of computer owners, 65%, compared to 53% in Orange County. About 33% of Orange County respondents said they surf the Internet, with 25% reporting that they do so for “mostly business” purposes--double the statewide average.
And, (big surprise), Orange County residents are more likely to favor laws policing online pornography than most Californians. About 51% in Orange County favor such laws, compared to 45% statewide.
