San Gabriel Valley : Buses to Showcase Artwork of 300 Pasadena Students
Buses throughout the San Gabriel Valley will soon be showcasing artwork by Pasadena school students.
Students from Pasadena’s Franklin Elementary, Washington Middle and John Muir High schools will be drawing 300 posters to illustrate their visions of peace for the Pasadena-based Community Non-Violence Resource Center, which will present them to Foothill Transit.
“In the next two weeks we will have posters in the buses,” said Ariel Bailey, the center’s executive director. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for kids to see their positive portrayals.”
Foothill officials said each poster will be emblazoned with the slogan “Making Life Better Together.”.
