Coach: Ivan Boyer (second year).
1995: 14-4-3, 10-0 in the Pacific Coast League; lost in the quarterfinals of the Division II playoffs to Palm Desert, 12-6.
Key returners: Chris Seid, No. 1 singles, runner-up in league singles tournament, Sr.; Felix Ling, No. 1 doubles, league doubles champion with Minh Le, Sr.; Doug McCan, No. 3 singles, Sr.; Alex Oh, No. 2 doubles, Jr.; Joey Friedman, No. 2 doubles, Sr.
Key newcomers: Frank Anang, No. 3 doubles, Sr.; Jon Biorkman, No. 2 singles, transfer from Woodbridge, Jr.; Greg Biorkman, No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles, Fr.; Eddie Lee, No. 3 doubles, Fr.
Outlook: University benefited from a logjam at Woodbridge that left the Biorkman brothers looking for a new place to play. “I looked up and they were transferring into the school,” Boyer said. “My policy is, if you win, you can play as a freshman.” With Seid and the Biorkman brothers in singles and Ling in doubles, the Trojans should run away with the Pacific Coast League, which is down. A tough nonleague schedule that includes Sunny Hills should prepare University for a decent playoff run.
