Outstanding Athlete Nominations Sought

The Conejo Sports Federation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of sports in the Conejo Valley, is asking the public to nominate outstanding athletes for its third annual awards ceremony.

Teams and individuals of all ages and in all sports are eligible for the awards, as long as they reside in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Agoura Hills or Westlake Village.

An awards committee will select the winners from the list of nominees, and the prizes will be handed out during a June 3 ceremony at the Civic Arts Plaza. The event will feature sports and entertainment celebrities, civic leaders, sports administrators, parents and friends of the athletes.

Those interested in nominating a team or athlete need to obtain a form from Ralph King at (805) 373-8618 or Ken Drake at (818) 707-9453. The forms, which must be turned in by April 12, should be mailed to the Conejo Sports Federation Awards Committee at P.O. Box 6926, Thousand Oaks, CA 91359-6926.
