A man who worked for years to land a permanent, full-time job with the Police Department has finally succeeded.
Tim Nolan was introduced to the City Council recently by Police Chief David S. Barr as the department’s newest hire. Barr cited Nolan’s drive and persistence, starting with his work as a reserve officer in the 1980s.
Nolan, 29, “has waited a long time for this career opportunity,” Barr told the council. “We know the fit is right.”
