Ice Dogs Defeated in Shootout, 5-4

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
The Kansas City Blades defeated the Ice Dogs, 5-4, in a shootout Friday night in an International Hockey League game.
The Ice Dogs had rallied from a four-goal deficit, tying it 4-4 after two power-play goals by John Byce and Dave Smith’s goal with less than a minute to play. But in the post-regulation shootout, the Blades outscored the Ice Dogs, 6-5, for the victory.
