Police Seek Help in Search for Gunman
Police are seeking help with the search for a gunman who wounded a 59-year-old businessman during a March 12 robbery.
The robber confronted his victim about 7:30 p.m. at Notthoff Engineering, 15651 Container Lane, and demanded the man’s $19,000 Rolex watch, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Dan Johnson said. After a brief scuffle, the gunman shot the victim in the chest and fled with the watch, police said.
Police describe the assailant as a Latino man, about 25 and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. The robber was dressed in a black Members Only jacket, a dark shirt, dark pants and black knit cap and spoke with an accent. He brandished a small-caliber, blue steel semi-automatic handgun.
Police asked that anyone with information call Det. Chuck Alquist at (714) 536-5968.
