St. Joseph’s Moves to NIT Semifinals
PHILADELPHIA —
Will Johnson scored 18 points as St. Joseph’s capitalized on a nearly six-minute scoring drought to beat Rhode Island, 76-59, Thursday night and advance to the NIT semifinals.
The Hawks (18-12) also took advantage of Rhode Island’s foul trouble, hitting 30 of 42 from the line. Rhode Island finished 20-14.
St. Joe’s will play Alabama in Tuesday night’s semifinal.
