Texas Tech left Atlanta on Friday morning with a 30-2 record and a lot to be proud of, Red Raider players said. Forget that loss to Georgetown, an important point was made.
“People didn’t want to take us as a ballclub that can really play,” said forward-center Darvin Ham. “Being out of Texas Tech and the Southwest Conference, people thought our record was just the result of playing inferior teams and not really having that stiff competition.
“I think we really woke a lot of people up. We showed people.”
