Man Stabbed to Death Over Drugs, Police Say
A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death early Monday in North Hollywood after an argument with another man over drugs, police said.
Responding to a call shortly after midnight, police found Stephen Moore bleeding in the street near the intersection of Troost Avenue and Burbank Boulevard, LAPD Sgt. Tom Toutant said.
Moore had been stabbed several times in the chest and died at the scene.
Minutes later, after talking to witnesses, Toutant said, officers arrested Robert Lee Torres.
Officers apprehended Torres, 40, walking a few blocks from the scene. He was booked at Van Nuys jail on suspicion of murder.
A knife was recovered near the scene, police said.
