Man, 44, Killed by Freight Train
SAN FERNANDO —
A 44-year-old San Fernando man was killed when he was hit by a freight train, police said Thursday.
The man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was seen standing on the tracks across North Brand Boulevard, north of Truman Street, about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday staring toward the lights of an oncoming freight train, San Fernando Police Det. Lance Steaman said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Steaman said.
