Three alleged gang members have been ordered to stand trial on murder and conspiracy charges for the deaths of two San Fernando Valley women more than two years ago, officials said Friday.
Etienne Moore and LaCedrick Johnson, both 21, were bound over for trial Thursday for allegedly shooting to death Laurie Myles, 37, in front of her 9-year-old son and for another woman’s death, Deputy Dist. Atty. Janice Maurizi said.
Shashonee Monette Solomon also was ordered to stand trial on murder charges for allegedly asking Moore and Johnson to kill his ex-girlfriend, Talin Kara Tarkhanian, 20, of Reseda, Maurizi said.
Van Nuys Municipal Court Judge Alice Altoon dismissed murder and conspiracy charges against Moore and Johnson for the shooting death of Bahman Taheri, 53, of Encino, at the close of the monthlong preliminary hearing.
On Friday, Maurizi said she will refile those charges when Moore and Johnson are arraigned in Superior Court on April 11.
Prosecutors allege that Moore and Johnson killed Myles--who had been on her way to pick up her daughter from a Bible class in Northridge--and Taheri during robberies.
