Officers Use Pepper Spray to Arrest Suspect After Chase

Police used pepper spray on a Glendale man early Monday to remove him from his car after he led them on a chase on a Foothill Freeway service road.
Chris Grego, 44, was arrested when officers got him out of his overturned car after the 15-minute chase just after midnight.
Grego lost control of the vehicle on the service road near the transition to the Ventura Freeway, said Sgt. Peter Michael of the Glendale Police Department.
Once the car overturned on the dark road, Grego refused to get out. Officers said they pepper-sprayed the man and took him to jail.
