Woman, 76, Dies After Crashing on Freeway
A 76-year-old woman died early Monday after her car inexplicably turned toward oncoming traffic and crashed into a center divider on the Costa Mesa Freeway, authorities said.
Dollie Creal of Long Beach was traveling north on the freeway when she crashed near the Edinger Avenue exit about 10 p.m. Sunday, California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Brame said.
Creal was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where she later died, a deputy coroner said.
CHP investigators said they have no witnesses and the cause of the accident is unknown. The investigation is continuing.
