Merit pay increases were awarded this week to 35 Cal State Fullerton faculty members under a new statewide program to recognize superior performance.

Money for the raises is provided by the chancellor’s office of the 22-campus California State University system. At Cal State Fullerton, about $52,800 will be paid to faculty members during this first year of merit pay awards. Increased funding is expected next year.

The 264 applicants for the special pay raises at Cal State Fullerton were nominated by their peers and then considered by various committees. President Milton A. Gordon made the final selections.
