Motorcyclist Dies After Brea Crash

A 40-year-old man died Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a drainage canal, police said.
Patrick McLean Long was traveling west on Carbon Canyon Road about a half-mile west of La Vida Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and swerved off the roadway about 6:20 p.m., authorities said.
Long, whose residency was not released, was taken to Placentia Linda Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
