Burglary Suspect Wounded During Struggle With Long Beach Officer
A Long Beach police officer shot and wounded a burglary suspect Tuesday during a struggle at a Lakewood motel, a police spokeswoman said.
“The suspect underwent surgery for his injuries and is in critical condition,” said Karen Kerr.
The shooting occurred about noon at the motel on East Carson Street, she said. The 23-year-old Long Beach man, whose name was withheld, was taken to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
