Thirteen people were injured Thursday, one critically, when a car and a Metro Blue Line train collided in the Florence area, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said.
The critically hurt motorist was taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center after the accident about 9 p.m. at Graham Avenue and Nadeau Street, he said.
Twelve others, who were all aboard the train, suffered minor injuries, and some were taken to hospitals, the dispatcher said.
It was not immediately known why the car was on the tracks.
