Craig Ehlo wasn’t giving Dennis Scott much room, so Orlando’s sharpshooter stepped out a few extra feet to break the record for three-point baskets in a game.

Scott made 11 in 17 attempts, the last from well beyond the arc, and the Magic won a franchise-best 58th game Thursday night at Orlando, with a 119-104 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Brian Shaw, who shared the previous record of 10 three-point baskets with Joe Dumars and George McCloud, got the assists on Scott’s 10th and 11th long-distance baskets of the night.
