Wiz Edge Clash in Shootout

Uche Okafor scored the deciding goal in a 16-round shootout Sunday, sending the Kansas City Wiz past the host San Jose Clash, 3-2, in a Major League Soccer game. The teams were tied, 2-2, after five shootout attempts, 4-4 after 10 tries and 7-7 after 15 rounds. After Okafor scored, the Clash’s John Doyle missed his attempt.
Colorado 3, Dallas 1--Marcelo Balboa scored two goals to lead the Rapids at Denver. Balboa opened the scoring in the 48th minute on an assist from Jean Harbor. Shaun Bartlett made it 2-0 in the 57th minute on another Harbor assist.
