Top TV Agent Enters Management Business: Gavin Polone, a top television agent who was fired earlier this week by United Talent Agency in a highly publicized feud, will join former colleague Judy Hofflund in forming Hofflund/Palone, a new management partnership. The Beverly Hills firm will represent such Polone clients as “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David, talk-show host Conan O’Brien, “Jurassic Park” screenwriter David Koepp as well as Hofflund’s clients, which include stars such as Laura Dern, Cybill Shepherd and Kenneth Branagh. Polone has settled his dispute with UTA in exchange for an undisclosed payment and a public statement from the agency acknowledging that it had insufficient grounds to fire him for cause.
