Wild Things--Take a walk on the wildflower side with members of the Orange County Chapter of the California Native Plant Society on Saturday. The hike will explore sand dunes of San Onofre State Beach.

Light winter rains have not produced the floral outbursts of last spring, but dune areas are lush with coastal plants and flowers. Those interested in exploring this natural beach should meet at the Trestles parking area at 9 a.m. The group will then drive from there to several locations in the park.

To get there, take Interstate 5 south to San Clemente. Exit at Cristianitos Road and make a quick left over the freeway. Make another quick left onto El Camino Real. Meet near the entrance of the parking area.
