Booth Remains in Second Place at NCAA Golf
Coto de Caza’s Kellee Booth shot a two-over 74 Thursday for the second consecutive day and is in second place at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship at the Dunes Course at the La Quinta Resort.
Booth, a sophomore at Arizona State who graduated from Santa Margarita, is three shots behind Arizona’s Maria Baena.
Booth was five over par at the turn Thursday, but eagled 510-yard No. 7, then made a 40-foot chip shot on No. 8 for birdie.
Arizona State leads team competition by one stroke over Stanford and Arizona. UCLA is tied for fourth with Wake Forest, both two shots behind the Sun Devils.
