East L.A. College Holds Health Fair Today
An Eastside college campus is holding a daylong health fair today that features free medical screenings and exhibit booths for adults and children of the surrounding community.
The event provides blood pressure, HIV, pulmonary function and fat analysis tests for free. The fair also features exhibit booths with literature on health-related topics.
The event will be at East Los Angeles Community College, 1301 Cesar Chavez Ave., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The fair is sponsored by Alhambra Hospital, White Memorial Medical Center and Chicanos for Creative Medicine, a campus group that recruits Latinos for the medical professions.
