An Oxnard man suspected of stealing two jet skis and a trailer is scheduled for arraignment today.

Paul Gomez, 44, was arrested Monday at 7:45 p.m. by Port Hueneme police on suspicion of taking the jet skis from a house in the 4500 block of Clover Drive in Oxnard four hours earlier, police said.

Police said they spotted Gomez towing the jet skis in his Chevy pickup truck and followed him to an apartment complex at the city limits of Oxnard and Port Hueneme. Two passengers fled from the pickup on foot after it was pulled over, but Gomez remained and was arrested after police confirmed the jet skis were stolen.

Gomez told police that he did not know the jet skis were stolen, authorities said. He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail. An investigation into the two passengers is continuing.
