Plans Underway for Store Opening
Preparations are underway for the opening of a PriceCostco store in Westlake Village, which city officials said is expected to open in August.
The city this week began upgrading traffic signals near the site of the new store, at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Lindero Canyon Road, officials said. Signals are also being upgraded at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Portola Court, near the site of a future Hughes Market, which will be part of the PriceCostco complex.
The city’s Public Safety Committee is scheduled to meet this morning to discuss traffic control and parking, as well as security for the grand opening, officials said.
Meanwhile, the state’s Employment Development Department has announced that PriceCostco has begun accepting applications for employees for the new store.
Interested people 18 and older are asked to report to the agency’s Thousand Oaks office at 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Suite 209, or to its Simi Valley office at 980 Enchanted Way, Suite 105.
