* Re “Aliso High Offers an Alternative to Failure,” May 8.
As a student at Aliso High School since my freshman year, I have overcome the stigma of being at a continuation school. I never knew how hard it would be to march to the beat of a different drummer. Now I realize how much Aliso gave me that I would not have received from a comprehensive high school.
Thank your for your article by Lucille Renwick. For quite awhile, the students and staff of Aliso, my family and I have known how special this haven is. It is about time the community knew as well. My gratitude to The Times for showing the public that continuation schools are home to wonderful kids, with hopes and dreams and bright futures ahead of them.
