He Pitched OK, Moore or Less

Reviews on Trey Moore’s second start for the JetHawks were mixed. Moore, who was sent down from double A and started for the JetHawks on Thursday, gave up four runs, two earned, in seven innings, but he struck out eight.

“I felt good about my outing,” Moore said. “I think I threw some quality pitches, they just hit them and battled.”

Rancho Cucamonga had 10 hits against Moore, but nine were singles--several of the scratch variety. Moore said he thinks he is regaining the form that earned a promotion to double A in the spring.

Assuming the JetHawks don’t need a one-game playoff Monday, Manager Dave Brundage and his wife Dameron will fly home to Oregon for a few days.

“I finally get to see the house I bought,” said Brundage, who purchased the house after he left for spring training.
