Ron Gant gets a little extra enjoyment out of beating the Atlanta Braves.

Gant drove in four runs with a solo home run and a bases-loaded triple as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Braves, 11-7, Wednesday at Atlanta.

“Gant has always killed us,” Atlanta Manager Bobby Cox said. “He’s paying us back for letting him go.”

Gant, 30, was released by the Braves after fracturing his right leg in a motorcycle accident in February 1994 and missed the entire season.
