Armed Robbers Hit Tarzana Bank

Share

The California Federal Bank branch at Tampa Avenue and Ventura Boulevard was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money Friday morning, police said.

The robbery was most likely not connected to a string of bank heists that have plagued San Fernando Valley financial institutions, said John Hoos, spokesman for the FBI in Los Angeles.

Authorities were seeking more than one suspect, according to Hoos and Los Angeles police. The robbers displayed a gun and told bank employees to open their cash drawers and get down on the floor, Hoos said.
