He’s Perplexed by Plan for Fairplex

Well, now I have heard everything. Fairplex, at the Pomona Fairgrounds, wants to build a new one-mile track and turf course to enhance its 19-day-a-year race meet [June 21]. You got it, 19 days a year. James Henwood, Fairplex president, says this will cost about $10 million and government assistance will be sought.
Mr. Henwood must have taken a few too many rides on the Loop-de-Loop in the Fun Zone.
