Catcher Brook Fordyce of Indianapolis hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning Wednesday night to give the National League a 2-1 victory over the American League in the triple-A All-Star Game at Salt Lake City. Fordyce’s towering blast to left-center field off Vancouver’s Jeff Schmidt easily cleared 400 feet.
