SHOWS FOR YOUNGSTERS AND THEIR PARENTS TOO : Disney’s hot Christmas features movies, Dumbo and a lively teddy bear

The Disney Channel celebrates Christmas In July from 6:30 a.m. Sunday to 1:35 a.m. Monday with a variety of holiday-themed cartoons and movies. The all-day series opens with Dumbo’s Circus (“Christmas at the Circus”) where an avalanche of snow buries the circus wagon. But it does not prevent the circus troupe from having a great holiday. For ages 2 and up.

In A Teddy Bear’s Christmas (11:40 a.m.), Ben the unusual teddy bear comes alive. He’s able to make his owner’s little sister happy by finding her own stuffed teddy, which also has morphing powers. For ages 2 and up.

A Disney Channel Christmas (12:05 p.m.) features animated shorts with Christmas themes hosted by Jiminy Cricket. For ages 2 and up.

At 3:30 p.m., Olivia Newton-John, Juliet Sorcey, Doug Sheehan and Doris Roberts star in A Mom for Christmas. In this fantasy story, a girl whose mother has died gets her wish to have a complete family for the holidays when a store mannequin comes alive and shows up at her doorstep. For the family.

In The Year Without a Santa Claus (6 p.m.), Santa is feeling tired and unappreciated until the elves bring presents for him from children. For the family.

Tim Allen plays a father having a rocky relationship with his son in The Santa Clause (7 p.m.). For the family.

In The Christmas Gift (midnight), John Denver plays a New York architect who goes to a small town to work, accompanied by his 7-year-old daughter. For the family.

Bugs Bunny Superstar (TNT, Saturday at noon) is narrated by Orson Welles and features interviews with some of the men who created some of the great animated films. For the family.
