Why Do They Think They Can Get Away With It?
The outrageously lenient “sentencing” of Michael Irvin in the cocaine case is another blatant example of the loving treatment given to big-time athletic stars in trouble with the law by star-struck judges.
These so-called sports idols, many of them semiliterate boors in real life, always seem to get probation for anything short of murder, which carefully avoids cutting into their training or million-dollar playing time. No wonder they behave the way they do.
