FLIGHT 800: TRAGEDY’S AFTERMATH : TWA Schedules L.A. Memorial
Trans World Airlines is sponsoring a memorial service in Los Angeles today for those who perished Wednesday aboard its Flight 800 off Long Island, N.Y.
The service will begin at 1 p.m. at the Hall of Liberty in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, in the Hollywood Hills. Similar services are planned in St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo., and a special service for TWA employees is planned in New York.
White ribbons, symbolic of purity and peace, will be given to all who want to wear them, officials said.
