Driver Hurt When Truck Overturns
A truck carrying a load of oranges overturned on California 126 near Fish Hatchery Road on Monday afternoon, trapping the driver and sending him to the hospital with major injuries.
According to California Highway Patrol reports, the truck owned by the Fillmore-Piru Citrus Assn. was eastbound about 1:50 p.m. when the accident occurred.
Officers directed traffic around the accident, which resulted in spilled oranges across the roadway.
The driver, Fidel L. Garcia, 45, was taken to Simi Valley Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Monday night.
