Liu Guoling took the last gold medal in table tennis, winning the men’s singles title with a 21-12, 22-24, 21-19, 15-21, 21-5 victory over teammate Wang Tao.
While its athletes have struggled in other sports during these games, China won all four gold medals and three silver medals in table tennis.
At the world championships last year, China won all seven events including team and mixed doubles.
Liu, 21, was runner-up in the world singles championships in 1995.
Both players went for winners on nearly every shot, but Liu finally took command in the fifth game.
He raced to a 12-1 lead, pouncing on the ball quickly to send winners across the net or force Wang errors.
