Heart of Hospital Is Being Broken
It appears that Los Robles Regional Medical Center is being compromised by outsiders who evidently don’t understand how important Conejo Valley feels about its health-care institution.
For years it has been a pillar in our midst, providing excellent care and being completely bonded to the community. Many of us chose to live and retire here because of its excellent medical services. But it appears the heart of the institution is being broken. The hospital has been pushed to its limit in terms of profitability and productivity.
People are the real institution.
Our greatest health-care resource is the staff that keeps our medical facility operating. How can the community assure itself that the staff won’t be a victim of potential burnout and morale breakdown? Does the end justify the means?
