I really wonder about baseball players in this day and age. The Dodgers played an 18-inning game Saturday, the equivalent to a doubleheader. But judging by the reaction of some of the players after the game, you’d think they’d just performed some Herculean task.

Quoth Raul Mondesi, “I’m so tired right now. I’m going to go home, don’t eat, just sleep. It’s like we played two extra games.” Standing out in the grass for five hours instead of three. Big deal. Does he want a medal or something?
