Timely Pitching, Hitting Leads to Win
The JetHawks used clutch pitching and hitting to beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 4-3, before 3,819 at the Hangar.
The go-ahead run scored on Carlos Villalobos’ two-out single in the sixth. The JetHawks (24-27) added a run in the seventh on Mike Lanza’s triple and Shane Monahan’s single, taking a 4-2 lead.
Starter Greg Wooten (5-3) got the win for the JetHawks.
