Simi Valley police are still seeking at least four men involved in a home-invasion robbery Sunday morning.

Three residents of a home in the 3400 block of Vicki Court were bound and robbed of an undetermined amount of cash about 9 a.m. Sunday after the intruders entered through an unlocked garage door.

Although shaken, none of the victims was injured.

Authorities said the men claimed to be police and were carrying badges and wearing hats similar to those worn by officers in Simi Valley.

The robbery, which occurred on the city’s northern edge, has the Police Department on a heightened state of alert.

“These things are not uncommon in the L.A. area, but they are uncommon here and we’re taking it very seriously,” said Simi Valley Sgt. Andy McCluskey, who supervises violent crime investigations for the city’s detective unit.

McCluskey said police have no firm leads on the intruders. “It’s a real whodunit,” he said.

Anyone with information on the identities of the intruders is asked to call the Simi Valley Police Department at (805) 583-6950.
