OUTLOOK

Mission Viejo has nowhere to go but up, and with a number of quality returners, the Diablos could do better than last year. They will miss first-team all-league selection Greg Carr at quarterback, but they return second-team all-league defensive lineman Sepulveda as well as second-team all-league linebacker Scott Carr, Greg’s little brother. Fitch is the front-runner for the quarterback spot and his primary targets will be Perez, Crane and Gilliam. Chavis will carry the ball. The Diablos won’t be big, but they have worked hard in the weight room all summer.
