Santa Ana Man Dies in Drive-By Shooting
A man who appeared to be in his early 20s was fatally shot in the upper torso Thursday night in an apparent gang-related drive-by in front of his home, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at Coastal Communities Hospital in Santa Ana, Lt. Jose Garcia said. His name was not available late Thursday.
Police received a call of shots fired in the 3100 block of West Cubbon Street about 7:50 p.m., Garcia said. They arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Gang investigators were sent to the scene, Garcia said.
